Standard home insurance typically covers brick and mortar properties. Park homes require specialist cover because they are constructed differently, using materials like timber frames and pre-fabricated panels. Our policy is designed to address these specific needs, covering risks that standard insurers exclude, such as:
To put it simply, yes. A park home is a type of mobile home. There are a few differences, however. From size to different requirements for ease of moving the home. With that said, though, the law states that Park homes are considered mobile homes and are covered by the “Mobile Homes Act 1983”.
Just because they are considered mobile homes does not mean that they necessarily have to be moved; just that they have the ability to be moved. This will ultimately give you more flexibility than a Brick and Mortar home.
Yes, the policy covers loss or damage caused by a wide range of standard perils, including fire, theft, storm, and flood. Please note that damage to gates, fences, or hedges caused specifically by storm or flood is not covered
If your home becomes uninhabitable following insured damage, the policy includes cover for temporary accommodation.
You are covered for temporary absences, but if your park home is unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days, certain standard perils will not apply
Yes, the policy includes Family Legal Protection. This provides financial support up to £100,000 per claim to help you and your family protect your legal rights. It also covers your legal liability as the owner of the park home and its land.
Yes, the basis of settlement for contents is the full replacement cost of replacing all items as new.
It is vital to choose the correct insurance based on how you use your home:
Park Home Insurance: For residential homes where you live year-round. This covers you for permanent residency, including alternative accommodation if your home becomes uninhabitable.
Static Caravan Insurance: For holiday homes used for short breaks. These policies often have restrictions on how long the property can be occupied continuously.
Our policy is specifically designed for residential park homes located on licensed sites.
